Blockchain needs more government support - Sinha Santos, Founder OiX.Global

It recently surfaced in the news cycles that New York State Assemblyman Clyde Vanel said that the blockchain industry needs to get better at lobbying for itself and also on educating regulators. This is what is wrong with the system today. We need to lobby for things that should be noticed by the legislatures in the first place.
Do we elect a representative so that they take decision based on who lobbied the hardest in their favor? No, we elect representatives to actually spend time studying what is right and what is wrong for the country and its people.
Vanel also said that crypto- and blockchain-based business need to better advertise their accomplishments and value to the public. How is that possible when the government has made it nearly impossible for business to place crypto-based advertisements online?
That said, the crypto ads are back on Facebook. This was bound to happen sooner than later because Facebook has been investing in blockchain technology too. That said, the landscape of blockchain businesses has changed.
I agree with one assessment of Assemblyman Vanel on the fact that bad actors often get all of the press, while projects that have real value are overlooked. But, that again is because al the valid avenues for business promotions have been blocked by the government and the nefarious players is better at Blackhat tricks.
We need for governments to recognize that Blockchain token based crowdfunding and cryptocurrencies are two different things and regulate each accordingly.
